Previous research has focused on using the device for single, high-energy treatments. Recent Research This study wanted to examine whether or not similar results could be achieved using multiple, low-energy treatments. Eight volunteers received three low-energy treatments over three weeks. After three months, patients experienced 37 percent fewer wrinkles and a 68 percent overall improvement in facial appearance. Researchers said that it took between four and six days for any the redness and peeling to subside. Their study is published in the current issue of Archives of Dermatology.
